Paris Saint-Germain has officially come to terms on a contract agreement with goalkeeper Denis Franchi, the club announced on Monday.
This is the first professional contract of Franchi’s career. The contract length is set at three years.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper joined PSG’s youth system in 2019. He has since been a regular with PSG’s U19 side. Franchi was the starting goalkeeper for PSG U19 during its UEFA Youth League group stage run last season. He logged five such appearances, including a pair of showings against Real Madrid’s U19 side.
Franchi is slated to continue to receive playing time opportunities with PSG U19. He has made some training session appearances with PSG’s first-team. While he is eligible to feature with the first-team, the club does have three goalkeepers on its roster, including Keylor Navas.
