PSG’s official website also released a lengthy piece on Maradona which part of it read: “In his inspirations as much as in his excesses, Diego Maradona will have embodied the beauty and love of his sport. So much so that all football fans, on all continents, have the impression of having lost one of their own.”
Maradona did not have many encounters against PSG over his lengthy career. He did, however, play in a friendly fixture against PSG in 1982 while he was with FC Barcelona.
There are not many players in the history of the game who have accomplished as much as Maradona did over his respective career. He is one who will be always be remembered as one of the greatest and most iconic players to ever play this sport.
