PSG Officially Rules Out Icardi from Champions League Fixture Against RB Leipzig Due to Injury

After making promising progress over the past week, Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi is still not ready to make his return to feature with the team. PSG officially announced on its club website of the decision to rule out Icardi from its upcoming UEFA Champions League return group stage fixture against RB Leipzig.

Icardi has been dealing with a knee injury as of late but is now regularly training with the team. He recently completed a training session with no setbacks. But as PSG announced, the forward is still in his recovery phase. PSG did provide a glimmer of hope for the forward’s return as the club also declared that it will specify later this week on just when he may be set to be back with the team.

The Argentine forward has not played in a fixture with the team in over a month due to the knee injury. But at the least for the club, he is on track to make his return to action with the rest of his teammates.
