The international break can be a time for rumors and speculation to emerge regarding the top stars in world football. For one, a recent report has linked FC Barcelona forward Lionel Messi to Paris Saint-Germain. The report mentions that PSG has contacted Messi’s father and agent, Jorge, regarding the possibility of signing the Argentine forward. Messi is set to become a free agent next year when his contract is up.
However, Jorge is downplaying the rumor. In a story post on his official Instagram account, Jorge responded to the report by labeling it as “fake news.”

Messi’s future with Barcelona is still up in the air and many clubs are sure to remain interested in bringing in the superstar forward. And while there is a possibility that PSG is showing interest in signing the forward if he becomes available via free transfer, this report regarding the club contacting Messi’s father is not supposedly accurate, according to Jorge himself.
