Joachim Low Calls Up Kehrer for Germany’s November Nations League Fixtures

German national team manager Joachim Low has elected to call up Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer for his side’s UEFA Nations League fixtures this month, the association announced on Friday.

Kehrer is just coming off from a lengthy period off due to an adductor injury. The PSG defender missed almost two months of action due to the injury, including being out of Germany’s squad list for its October international fixtures.

Kehrer did make his long-awaited return to featuring with PSG over its recent Ligue 1 away win against FC Nantes. He came off the bench and played in 24 minutes in the contest.

Germany will be taking on Ukraine and Spain in its final Nations League group stage fixtures for this season. Low’s side currently stands at second place in Group A4, so if his team can pull off both wins, it will clinch a spot in the Nations League knockout stage.

In the case that Low does not plan to start Kehrer in either of these two fixtures, he could provide the defender with pivotal minutes in its upcoming international friendly contest against the Czech Republic.
