After the end of the 2020-21 season, the contract of Sergio Ramos with Real Madrid will expire, and so far, no signs of an extension are taking place.
Not seeing interest in extending the player’s contract, in recent days, some rumors have arisen with the assumption that the defender would be interested in joining Paris Saint-Germain, according to El Chiringuito de Jugones.
However, L’Equipe (via Canal Supporters) denied the claims that Ramos is interested in heading to the French capital once his deal runs out in June. Furthermore, the report states that all these rumors are only intended to pressure the Madrid leaders to hammer out a new deal with their captain.
It was expected that Ramos would be in charge of clarifying this situation in an interview that he was supposed to have with Diario AS. The media already reported that the defender would not attend.
Only Luis Enrique, the Spain National Team manager, would be there instead to speak before the match on the last day of the UEFA Nations League against Germany will define the group’s classification for the quarterfinals.
