Former French Midfielder Compares Kean’s Play Style to Former PSG Forward Cavani

Paris Saint-Germain forward Moise Kean has made quite an impact in his short time with the club so far. From his goals scored in key games to relentless pressing mentality on the pitch, Kean is handily meeting early expectations with PSG.

Former French and PSG midfielder Eric Rabesandratana is now confident in Kean to take the next step in his game as a forward. Rabesandratana is not only backing Kean but is also drawing comparison from him to one former PSG forward. Rabesandratana spoke further to France Bleu about his overall impressions of Kean so far.

“Kean is the right pick at the moment for PSG,” Rabesandratana said. “I like his mentality. He has a taste for effort, he is collective. He always offers solutions to his partners, it is really interesting. When the ball is lost, he begins to defend.

“He is the team’s first defender, and he reminds me of Edinson Cavani in this regard. He is on a Cavani’s path for his career. I wish him to score as many goals as he does.”

Kean still has a ways to go in order to improve with his on and off-ball play as a forward. But considering that he is also playing alongside forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, he should certainly take the opportunity to learn from these two talents and continue to gain crucial experience while on the pitch with them.
