Report: Liverpool Open To Selling Key Forwards in Their Pursuit of PSG’s Mbappé

By now, plenty of Paris Saint-Germain supporters know that Real Madrid wants to get their hands on Kylian Mbappé. Every week there’s a new rumor or news information on their tracking of the France international. However, they could have serious competition.

Often Liverpool FC has had their name in the pursuit for the 21-year-old, but for the most part, it seemed like Los Blancos were the clear-cut threat to Les Parisiens if they wanted to keep Mbappé. Nonetheless, there’s a situation in which the Premier League club put a full-court offense for the PSG forward.

According to the Sunday Times (via Sport.fr), Liverpool is open to selling Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah as all three are approaching their 30’s and contracts expire in 2023.

“They are all 28 years old and are still under contract until 2023. And some of them can move to Spain. Liverpool have been thinking about this for a long time now,” Duncan Castle of the Sunday Times wrote

“The Reds don’t try to keep their players forever. They open the door if the players want to leave, and they have a big offer. So, here is the context: they will have to sell and convince Mbappé to come.”

Liverpool perhaps doesn’t need to sell all three, but if they could receive significant transfer fees for two of their players, it might be enough to put together a bid for Mbappé.
