Paris Saint-Germain defeated Angers SCO 6-1 at the Parc des Prince, but the fireworks weren’t only occurring on the pitch.
Capital club sporting director Leonardo spoke with the media after the squad’s win to discuss the comments made by manager Thomas Tuchel over their handling of the transfer window.
The other day, the German manager stated that the club can’t ask him to head back to a UEFA Champions League final without making additions to improve the squad. These remarks didn’t make Leonardo happy, and he made it known.
“I didn’t like Tuchel’s statements. Neither the club. You have to understand the situation. You have to respect the club and the sports management,” Leonardo said. “Whoever is not happy, we have to deal with it internally. If Tuchel decides to stay, he must respect the sporting direction.”
