Video: ‘No, I Don’t Have an Explanation’ – Thomas Tuchel on PSG’s Loss To Manchester United

Paris Saint-Germain hoped to carry the momentum from last seasons UEFA Champions League that led to the capital club making it to the final into the 2020-21 campaign.

However, that didn’t occur as the capital club fell 2-1 to Manchester United FC to kick off matchday one of the Champions League group stage.

PSG manager Thomas Tuchel took to the microphone to speak with Téléfoot, where he discussed the loss and various other topics from the French media outlet with Onze Mundial relaying his words.

“No, I don’t have an explanation. I can just explain that it wasn’t us and that one played a bad game. But I can’t explain why. We prepared well for the game whatsoever. yesterday and today. We’re coming off a huge game. We had five consecutive victories with a big improvement in the game. And tonight, we missed everything,” Tuchel said.

“The players were not on the pitch. I don’t know not why. I had that impression like everyone else. We weren’t offering that in the last few games. I’m very surprised. In the first half, it was really not good. It was not our game, it’s clear.”
