Video: Moise Kean on Joining PSG, Choosing the No.18 Kit, and the Qualities He Will Bring To the Squad

Moise Kean, the young Everton FC talent who will play on loan without an option to buy with Paris Saint-Germain during this season, spoke with the PSG TV to discuss his reasoning to head to Paris. PSG was looking for a forward to compete with player Mauro Icardi and replace Edinson Cavani and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who left Les Parisiens this summer. PSG turned their attention to Moise Kean.

The first question is over joining PSG.

“I chose Paris Saint-Germain because it is a great club which has won many trophies. Today I also feel important because a lot of great players have worn this jersey. I hope to be worthy of it,” Kean said. “I think coming here and discovering this club and Ligue 1 is a good idea. It’s a very good level of championship, which also made me want to join Paris Saint-Germain, as well as the possibility of learning alongside great players and bringing something to the team.”

Kean talks about his decision to wear the number 18 kit this season for PSG.

“It’s a number that has often been worn by great forwards. Here I know Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mauro Icardi wore it,” Kean said. “A lot of great forwards have come here. I want to be part of this list of great players. My new teammates? I asked Alessandro Florenzi a few questions, whom I worked with in the selection. He told me good things about the team, the coach, the training sessions. He convinced me!”

Finally, he mentions the qualities he will bring to the squad.

“I hope to show soon, at Parc des Princes, which I am capable. I saw a lot of Paris Saint-Germain matches, and a lot of pictures of the supporters,” Kean said. “When I found out I had the option to come here, I watched even more! It made me want to play well for this team. I am very happy to be here. Here is Paris!”
