Manchester United FC will travel to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain as they kick off their UEFA Champions League campaign.
For United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær it will be a good time to relive an old memory as he was at the helm when The Red Devils eliminated PSG in the Champions League’s knockout stages in 2019.
During his press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his words, the Norwegian coach assured that this match would be different from 2019.
“The round of 16 of 2019? It is from the past. It has no impact on this game. We are different, they are different, and it is in a different stage of the competition. Everyone wants to be in the Champions League, and we have drawn a finalist, a semi-finalist, and we are pleased to welcome Rafael again. It’s a fantastic group for us,” Solskjær said.
“We have lost some. Bailly has not traveled. Lingard has not traveled. But we have enough players. Greenwood, Maguire, and Cavani didn’t make the trip either. Edinson needs a few more days of training.”
