Video: Highlights from Rafinha’s PSG Debut

Rafinha made his first official appearance for Paris Saint-Germain in the team’s away league fixture against Nimes. Multiple players were ruled out for the contest due to injuries, so manager Thomas Tuchel had no choice but to start Rafinha.

The Brazilian midfielder had a strong showing for the club as he recorded 46 completed passes, three goal-scoring chances created and two tackles won. More importantly, he picked up an assist off of a Kylian Mbappe goal in the first half.

Tuchel subbed off Rafinha at the 58th-minute mark. But this managerial decision is understandable considering that Rafinha had not played in any official fixture since mid-July when he was with La Liga side Celta Vigo.

More opportunities for playing time should come Rafinha’s way over PSG’s remaining fixtures this month.
