Video: ‘He Must Get Into the Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry Industry’ – French Football Pundit on Who Mbappé Should Model His Game After

Kylian Mbappé is a star at 21-years-old in the world of football with various Ligue 1 trophies, domestic cups, and a FIFA World Cup under his belt. However, the Paris Saint-Germain forward is in his early 20’s, an age group that is still impressionable.

RMC Sport analyst Kevin Diaz was on After Foot RMC, where he discussed that Mbappé should be modeling himself after players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry rather than his capital club teammate Neymar Jr.

Diaz adds that the France international doesn’t possess the qualities of the 28-year-old since Neymar doesn’t rely on speed, power, and efficiency.

“Kylian Mbappé, coming to Paris Saint-Germain, was not at the wrong club, but he may have been wrong example and ideal partner,” Diaz said. “At the time, he had the choice between PSG, and playing with Neymar, or join his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, on the side of Real Madrid. A Cristiano Ronaldo who has greatly evolved since his debut at MU where we saw him make somewhat unnecessary gestures and show a certain lack of efficiency.”

“Today, we have the impression that Kylian Mbappé is stagnating a bit because instead of getting closer to Cristiano Ronaldo, we have the impression that he wants to get closer to a Neymar instead of working on his qualities speed, power, and efficiency. Neymar is a football genius, Kylian Mbappédoes not necessarily have these technical qualities. He must get into the Cristiano Ronaldo / Thierry Henry industry: simplicity and efficiency.”
