Former Arsenal FC Manager Arsène Wenger is making the rounds with the French football media. He made an appearance on Canal Football Club, discussing previous rumors linking him to Paris Saint-Germain.
On the eve of the capital club taking on Manchester United FC, Wenger went on Top of the Foot. He made it clear that with no clear cut favorite to win the UEFA Champions League, that PSG should no longer dream about winning the tournament—adding that it needs to become a necessity.
“There are two issues in the Champions League that must be mentioned. Today, there are no more dominating teams in Europe, as was the case a few years ago,” Wenger said.
“There have been times when Barca were untouchable, Real Madrid dominated, or Bayern Munich dominated Europe, there is a playing card for everyone. It is not a dream for PSG. It is a necessity practically today to have success in the Champions League.”
🎙 "Ce n'est pas un rêve pour le PSG, c'est une nécessité. C'est un rêve pour Rennes évidemment, et pour Marseille parce qu'ils y reviennent."
