German national team manager Joachim Low picked Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler to bear the captain’s armband captain for the team’s international friendly fixture against Turkey. Low’s decision is paying off so far.
In the late minutes of the first half, Draxler scored a superb flick goal against Turkey to put Germany up 1-0 in the contest. Chelsea’s Kai Havertz created the goal-scoring chance for Draxler with an excellent pass to him in the final third.
