Colin Dagba took to the microphone to speak with Late Football Club to discuss his career with Paris Saint-Germain, and despite his status as a sporadic starter, the 22-year-old wants to remain with the capital club.
When PSG youth products hit the early 20’s, plenty decide it’s time to leave Paris, especially if they’re not receiving as much playing time. However, Dagba makes it known that he’s happy with his situation.
“My goal has always been to win at Paris Saint-Germain. Afterward, they always gave me my chance and I feel the confidence of the club too. After that, if things get blocked, if people no longer trust me, they will have to consider leaving,” Dagba said. “But I always felt that confidence at the club and I’m happy here. My relationship with the coach? Always the same. I still feel the same confidence from him. I will always give my all for him on the pitch.”
Then he opens up about turning down the interest from FC Bayern Munich.
“Bayern’s approach? No, there are no regrets. There were discussions with my agent, we spoke and we preferred to stay at PSG. Every year, there is always competition,” Dagba said. “We all want to play, that’s for sure. There will be a series of matches with the Champions League coming up, so I will necessarily have my chance, and I will demonstrate it on the pitch.”
