The one positive for Paris Saint-Germain over the recent international break was that new signee Rafinha took time to train with the club. PSG signed Rafinha on deadline day of the recent summer transfer window. The Brazilian has not yet featured with the club in a fixture, but he has done his part to prepare for his much-anticipated first-team debut.
Manager Thomas Tuchel is pleased with Rafinha’s short time with the club so far. More so, he is confident that the Brazilian midfielder will adapt well with his new teammates and live up to the expectations that were placed on him when he officially signed on with the club. Tuchel spoke further about Rafinha during a press conference (via PSG’s official Twitter account) on Thursday.
“Rafinha … has been with us throughout the international break,” Tuchel said. “He has fantastic technique and is a very humble and nice guy. I am sure he will settle into the squad very quickly.”
Rafinha is slated to be in Tuchel’s team selection for PSG’s away league fixture against Nimes Olympique tomorrow. Tuchel is sure anticipating just how Rafinha will perform in Ligue 1 games.
