Paris Saint-Germain forward Moise Kean is currently in the best form since his days with Juventus. The Italian forward has scored four goals in his last two games, which is already the same amount of goals that he tallied during his run with Everton.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has been relatively impressed with Kean’s early run with the club. Kean has earned a couple of starts and already proved on why he can be relied on for key fixtures. More importantly, Kean has formed strong chemistry with Kylian Mbappe on the pitch. Tuchel spoke further at the pre-match press conference (via PSG’s official website) for team’s fixture against Nantes about Kean’s recent play.
“The best thing to integrate a new club and a group for a striker is to score,” Tuchel said. “The most important thing is that he continues to show the same desire and to put the same intensity on the pitch. He has a great physical capacity, he must absolutely continue like this. It’s weighing on the defenses, and that’s what we need.”
Overall, Tuchel has been a fan of the recent play of the team’s other new signings, including midfielder Danilo Pereira.
“But the recruits have integrated well, we do individual training with them, it is sometimes difficult to put too much intensity, but we take the time to explain to them the structure of the team, how the relays work, and the will,” Tuchel said. “We also work a lot with video, I’m sure all players can adapt and learn a lot with video. Matches are also a way to try things out, as we were able to do with Danilo.”
Tuchel also revealed during the press conference that he has not yet picked his official starting 11 for the fixture against Nantes. Still, both Kean and Pereira are expected to start in this contest.
