Report: Tuchel Not Slated to Count on Jese This Season

After the summer transfer window closed, it was clear as to just what Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel’s depth chart for this season would look like. For instance, the club’s addition of Moise Kean from Everton on a season-long loan deal solidified that the Italian forward would be center forward Mauro Icardi’s main backup. But as a result of this acquisition, it is looking likely that one talent will not have a role at PSG this season.

Tuchel is not projected to rely on PSG forward Jese Rodriguez over this season, according to a report from Le Parisien. Jese is training with the club, but he is not slated to be relied on by Tuchel over the remainder of the campaign. The German manager will not completely exclude him from the squad, but at the moment, the Spanish forward has no clear standing with the team.

Jese’s career is essentially at a standstill for now. He is not projected to be a regular at PSG this season. So unless PSG is able to find a suitor for him over the upcoming winter transfer window, Jese will just have to spend much of this season on the bench or in the stands.
