Following the conclusion of the summer transfer window, it was clear as to just what Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel’s depth chart would look like. For instance, the club’s addition of Moise Kean from Everton on a season-long loan deal solidified that the Italian forward would be a backup to starting center-forward Mauro Icardi. But as a result of this acquisition, it is looking likely that one PSG talent will not have a spot with the team this season.
Tuchel is not projected to rely on PSG forward talent Jese Rodriguez over this season, according to a report from Le Parisien. Jese is training with the club but is not slated to be relied upon by Tuchel for any role this season. The German manager will not completely exclude him from the squad, but at the moment, the Spanish forward has no clear standing with the team.
Jese’s career is essentially at a standstill for now. He is not projected to get almost any playing time this season. So unless PSG is able to find a suitor for him over the upcoming winter transfer window, Jese will just have to spend much of this season on the bench or in the stands and wait until he becomes a free agent next year.
