Former Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has been out in the open market for the last few months after declining to extend his contract with the capital club to participate in the resumption of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League campaign.
Since then, PSG’s all-time leading goal scorer has seen his name linked to various clubs around Europe and South America. Well, with only a few days left until the summer transfer period closes, it looks as though El Matador has found a new team.
According to ESPN, Cavani will sign a two-year contract with Manchester United FC, and the announcement of the deal will come after the Uruguayan completes his exams.
Suppose Cavani does indeed complete his free transfer with The Red Devils. In that case, he won’t have to wait long to face the capital club in a competitive match as United and PSG are in Group H and will play each other later this month on the 20th at the Parc des Princes and then on December 2nd at Old Trafford.
