Paris Saint-Germain’s Xavi Simons is currently the most-talked-about prospect from within the team’s youth system. He joined PSG’s youth system last year and has continued to rise since then. PSG is buying into the hype and is keen on keeping the talent for the long term.
PSG is planning on offering prospect Simons a five-year contract deal, according to a report from Sky Sport‘s Fabrizio Romano via his “Here We Go” podcast. The club is planning on offering the Dutch talent this deal once he turns 18.
This proposed contract deal would not only keep the talent amid possible interest from other clubs but also make him a candidate to possibly soon make his first-team debut. Simons has not yet played for PSG’s first-team in any official competition, but he did make his first appearance for the club in a recently friendly contest against Sochaux. The talent has at the least been picked for Tuchel’s squad list this season in several fixtures.
