Paris Saint-Germain still has not yet signed a midfielder for depth over the current transfer window. It was apparent last season that the club needed to acquire another versatile midfielder to bolster the team’s depth in the position. But now with just days remaining until the transfer window closes, the club is reopening its interest in one Serie A talent.
PSG is still keeping tabs on possibly signing Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report from RMC Sport. PSG and Inter are in a dilemma regarding the midfielder. Inter is open to selling him on a permanent transfer deal, which PSG does not have the budget for. PSG’s board is instead interested in proposing either a loan with an option to buy or a swap deal with players going the other way to Inter for Brozovic. Still, Inter is only interested in selling the talent in order to accumulate funds to reinvest for the current or possibly next transfer window.
If PSG or any other club does not put a permanent transfer deal offer on the table, the Italian side is more than content with keeping the talent for the ongoing season. He has another season left on his deal, so Inter does not have to be concerned with being forced to sell the midfielder soon in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer.
Unless PSG gives in to Inter’s demands, Les Parisiens may just need to look elsewhere for an available midfielder.
