Report: PSG Is Joining the Race for Napoli Striker in Hopes of Landing a Backup Striker To Icardi

With the arrival of Victor Osimhen to Napoli, Arkadiusz Milik seems to be the odd man out at striker for the Italian club. The 26-year-old is eager to leave Naples for a change of scene.

With a need for another striker to go behind Mauro Icardi, Paris Saint-Germain is joining Tottenham Hotspur and Atlético Madrid in the pursuit of Milik, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Napoli brought in Milik in 2016 to help replace Gonzalo Higuaín, but in 122 appearances, he’s only scored 48 goals. Despite his underwhelming production, the transfer value isn’t of Milik isn’t cheap as Transfermarkt sets his value at €32-million.

Although the Poland international might be looking for starter minutes right away, the three clubs reportedly in pursuit of him have strikers that will likely start ahead of him with Luis Suárez now at Atlético and Harry Kane being the starter at Spurs.

Nonetheless, if either of those three clubs can guarantee him a certain amount of minutes, then he will likely be more comfortable playing behind either of those strikers.
