The summer transfer window officially closed last week, with Paris Saint-Germain completing several deadline day deals. But in the transfer market, rumors never seem to come to a halt. For instance, PSG is already being linked with one playmaking talent.
PSG is showing interest in signing Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen over the upcoming winter transfer window, according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb. The report mentions that Eriksen is in a dilemma with his career at Inter Milan. He aspires to feature regularly with the club, but this will undoubtedly come down to Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte’s lineup decisions. If Eriksen does not see out a resolution to this matter from now until the opening of the winter transfer window, a departure could come in the works.
The report mentions that not only is PSG interested in Eriksen, but Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund may explore such a deal as well.
If PSG wishes to sign Eriksen, the club may have to put together a permanent transfer deal offer on the table to entice Inter Milan. According to a recent report from the Italian-based outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), PSG pushed to sign Eriksen on a loan deal over the recent transfer window but Inter declined the approach as the Serie A side only had an interest in completing a permanent deal for the talent.
PSG does not have any immediate need at the midfield position, but a deal could become a possibility if the club goes all-out to meet the Italian side’s such transfer demands.
