Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi began talks with Olympique Lyonnais owner Jean-Michel Aulas over midfielder Houssem Aouar. It seemed like the club president might have grown tired of the inactivity from management and might’ve started looking into players himself.
Sporting director Leonardo had to comment on the pursuit of Aouar, where he stated that it’s not the right time to pursue him. Furthermore, it seems as though the 22-year-old won’t be moving anywhere for another season as he will remain in Lyon for another season Aulas confirmed to L’Équipe.
The capital club wasn’t the only team inquiring over the France international as Arsenal FC, according to ESPN, and Juventus FC, according to Football Italia.
As for Lyon and Aulas, he’s hoping next summer more clubs are willing to open up their wallets as the coronavirus pandemic has effected how much clubs are willing to spend, which is the case for PSG.
