After receiving interest from multiple clubs over the past couple of weeks, Paris Saint-Germain prospect Arnaud Kalimuendo may have found a new club for this season. Ligue 1 side RC Lens is close to signing Kalimuendo on a loan deal, according to a report from RMC Sport‘s Loic Tanzi.
Lens is reportedly closer than any other club to signing Kalimuendo. The framework of the agreement between PSG and Lens is for a season-long loan deal that may come with an option to buy. It is unclear so far on just how much Lens would have to pay up in order to make the possible loan deal a permanent transfer move and also whether PSG added a buyback option in the agreement.
PSG has been interested in offloading Kalimuendo off to another club for this season in order to provide him with more playing time. But the possible addition of a buy option is surprising, as PSG was reportedly interested in signing the talent to a contract extension deal before completing a loan deal with another club.
The current transfer window is set to close today, so the official announcement of the deal could come within hours.
