Paris Saint-Germain forward Mauro Icardi was among the several players who picked up an injury over the October international break. The club announced that Icardi suffered a right knee ligament injury over the break. It was not deemed to be an issue that would hold out Icardi out of action for a significant amount of time, but he was slated to miss several games.
Now, as Le Parisien reports, Icardi is progressing well from his injury and is on the right track to soon make his return to the club. Icardi has not yet fully recovered from his injury and is currently ruled out for PSG’s upcoming league fixture against Dijon. But Icardi has been taking part in physical activity exercises, such as with running workouts.
For the moment, PSG will just have to continue playing without a true number nine. But at the least, Icardi is making significant progress with his injury and should make his return to training with his teammates relatively soon.
