Report: Gueye Out Several Weeks Due To Torn Hamstring

When it rains, it pours as Paris Saint-Germain deals with the fallout from the 2-1 loss to Manchester United FC on matchday one of the UEFA Champions League group stage. The criticism is coming left and right to the capital club, but they’re now dealing with injuries resulting from that loss.

According to RMC Sport (via Culture PSG), Les Parisiens will be down another midfielder as Idrissa Gueye will miss several weeks due to a torn hamstring injury. It was a rough night for the 31-year-old against The Red Devils as he only played 45 minutes and touched the ball 34 times. Other than that, he did not influence the match.

Manager Thomas Tuchel touched on Gueye’s injury after the match, where the Senegal international told him that he couldn’t sprint and had muscle problems.

Gueye will join fellow midfielders Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes, who are also out due to injury.
