If you can’t beat them, why not join them is the motto for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who is reportedly set to join FC Bayern Munich, according to Téléfoot sports journalist Saber Desfarges.
A few weeks ago, the capital club displayed an interest in bringing back the 31-year-old, but Choupo-Moting wanted a two-year deal per L’Equipe it wasn’t something Les Parisiens were willing to offer.
Furthermore, with the arrival of Everton FC’s Moise Kean on loan, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have a much younger and athletic backup striker that could produce whenever he’s called upon this upcoming season.
Meanwhile, at Bayern Munich, Choupo-Moting will play behind Robert Lewandowski and spell him some minutes or even matches off as the Poland international is in his 30’s.
Furthermore, the 31-year-old is familiar with the Bundesliga, having played with clubs such as Hamburger SV, FSV Mainz 05, and FC Schalke 04, so he will be quite comfortable if he indeed joins Bayern Munich.
