Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel is dealing with yet another crucial test this season as the club is facing a significant injury crisis. Tuchel ruled out 10 players for the fixture against Nimes Olympique, including team captain Marquinhos. Still, Tuchel is fielding a prominent starting 11 for the contest against Nimes in hopes of extending the club’s current winning streak.

Tuchel is rolling out a 4-3-3 setup for this fixture. As expected with the goalkeeper position, Keylor Navas is set to make yet another start for the club.
As mentioned, team captain Marquinhos is out for the contest due to a thigh injury that he suffered over the international break. Still, defender Presnel Kimpembe is in the starting 11 for Tuchel’s side and if he can have a shutdown performance as he recently did for France against Portugal, PSG will have a strong chance at collecting all three points against Nimes. Alessandro Florenzi and Mitchel Bakker also returned from the international break and will start in today’s league contest.
In the midfield, the club is currently without the likes of Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler due to injuries. As a result, Rafinha is in the starting 11 and will be making his first appearance for the club since joining from FC Barcelona on transfer deadline day.
Tuchel is currently depleted with depth in the attack. Angel Di Maria is not available due to his suspension while Mauro Icardi has a minor injury. Neymar is also not able to feature for the club as the forward just returned from international duty with Brazil. But for Tuchel, the good news is that Kylian Mbappe is available and Moise Kean will be making his debut for the club.
If PSG is able to pick up the win today even as it deals with the current injury crisis, it will say much about the adversity and depth that the club currently has.
