Ever since Kylian Mbappe joined Paris Saint-Germain, the French forward has continued to prove that he is not a one-dimensional attacking player. Under PSG manager Thomas Tuchel, Mbappe has grown as a playmaking forward. From assists to simply creating chances for teammates, Mbappe is one talent who can change the complexion of a game by being unselfish when on the ball.
Mbappe is also blossoming as a playmaker in the Champions League competition. For one, he has recorded the most assists in the Champions League since the 2017-2018 edition of the competition.

As Opta pointed out, Mbappe’s opening assist to Moise Kean in PSG’s fixture against Basaksehir gave him his 14th overall Champions League assist since the 2017-2018 campaign. He also picked up another assist later in the second half of the contest, which moved him to 15 total assists in the Champions League over this time period.
Mbappe has tallied multiple memorable assists in the Champions League with PSG. For one, he assisted Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for the pivotal game-winning goal against Atalanta in last season’s Champions League knockout stage.
Mbappe continues to showcase just how much of a multidimensional attacker he truly is.
