There is no denying that Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is currently enjoying the best stretch of his career so far with Les Parisiens. The Brazilian forward shined with the club last season over its domestic treble-winning campaign and UEFA Champions League knockout stage run. He has carried that momentum over to this season thanks to his brilliant performances in Ligue 1 play.
Neymar is looking more relaxed every time he steps on the pitch with PSG and more importantly, he has not dealt with any major injuries this year. PSG defender Marquinhos is certainly pleased to see his national team counterpart playing up to his potential with the club. In a press conference (via RMC Sport) this week while with the Brazilian national team, Marquinhos spoke about Neymar and just how much he has grown as a player in recent months.
“Neymar is really at an extraordinary moment in his career,” Marquinhos said. “He was a key player to reach the Champions League final, first days of Ligue 1, he was very good. He managed to maintain the level he had in the Champions League, and that is very important. It is very important that he is happy. He is growing up and he is evolving. It makes me happy to see him like that.”
Neymar still has much to offer for PSG over his current tenure with the club.
