Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe spent just two seasons together at AS Monaco, but they made history while there. The duo helped Monaco win the Ligue 1 title over PSG and wound up making a surprise UEFA Champions League semifinal run over the 2016/2017 edition of the tournament.
Silva is well familiar with Mbappe’s capabilities as a forward. More so, Silva is dreaming of one day reuniting with Mbappe over at Manchester City. The Portuguese midfielder spoke (via L’Equipe) about why he would be all in to Mbappe making a blockbuster move to Manchester City.
“He was already a special player for Monaco when I was there and he’s also a friend,” Silva said. “If we could buy him, that wouldn’t be bad.”
Mbappe has been linked with several clubs over the past months for a potential mega transfer deal. However, Manchester City has not come up in the rumor mill in regards to being linked with Mbappe. Still, this is one club that is not afraid of putting together high-priced transfer offers in order to acquire top talents.
For now, Mbappe’s future currently is with PSG.
