‘We Are Playing Better and Better’ — Florenzi on PSG’s 3-0 Win Against OGC Nice

For the first time in a month, Paris Saint-Germain finally has a taste of a winning streak. Les Parisiens took care of business against OGC Nice with a 3-0 away league win. The victory gave PSG its first winning streak of the new Ligue 1 season.

Right-back Alessandro Florenzi made his second appearance for PSG over the contest and played in all 90 minutes for manager Thomas Tuchel. The Italian international recorded two tackles and one clearance in the game. Florenzi is pleased with how PSG has responded following its back-to-back losses to begin the season. He talked to PSG TV about what he liked about the team’s win.

“We are playing better and better,” Florenzi said. “Today we had a great victory, with character, and we go home with three points. Now we need to rest up for the next game.”

Florenzi was also content with the collective effort from the team. While Kylian Mbappe made his long-awaited return to feature with the team, this win came down to the key contributions from more than just one player.

“Kylian returned today and helped us a lot but everybody worked hard for a comfortable win, but it wasn’t easy because they never gave up but we were the better side,” Florenzi said.

PSG has certainly responded well following the early season crisis within the team.
