Video: Thomas Tuchel on PSG Receiving More Suspensions Than Marseille

A few days ago, Ángel Di María received a four-match suspension as a result of spitting on Olympique de Marseille defender Álvaro González in Le Classique a couple of weeks ago. Nonetheless, the 32-year-old will begin serving his ban after Paris Saint-Germain’s matchup against Stade de Reims.

In his press conference, manager Thomas Tuchel addressed the number of suspensions that the Ligue de Football Professionnel handed to the capital club players in contrast to Marseille’s amount. The German manager made it known that he isn’t a fan of the uneven suspensions because it gives off the impression that PSG were the instigators.

“I can understand. He had a reaction that we don’t like. The PSG team had 14 suspension matches, Marseille only four,” Tuchel said. “I can not understand. We have the impression that we are the only ones responsible. I don’t like what happened, but it was a reaction.”
