It seemed as though Sergio Rico would be returning to Sevilla FC after his loan stint with Paris Saint-Germain. Still, the capital ultimately spent €6-million to keep their backup goalkeeper.
Rico appeared on PSG’s Twitter account, where he answered questions from the supporters.
The first question that the Spain international answered was over his first season in Paris.
“I feel good here, I think we have had a very good season,” Rico said. “I think we have experienced something historic for the club, and I am happy to be part of the history of PSG.”
Next up, Rico answered a question of who’s the biggest jokester on the PSG squad.
“It’s difficult. There are a lot of players who like to laugh. Neymar, Marco Verratti, Leandro Paredes, Mauro Icardi,” Rico said. “We all like to feel good vibes, make jokes, and that helps create a good atmosphere in the locker room.
Another question surrounding what moment from the supports left an impact on him.
“I think this is the moment when we won at the Parc des Princes against Borussia Dortmund,” Rico said. “We went out on the balcony, and all the supporters were waiting for us. It was a very beautiful and very special moment. It showed how PSG has incredible fans.”
Finally, Ricos answers a question over his start in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against RB Leipzig.
“For me, it was like a dream come true,” Rico said. “It was a pride to play such an important game and with so much history for this club. I’m very happy to have helped the team reach this final.”
