Video: RMC Sport Analyst Critical of PSG Players for Not Following Protocols While on Vacation

After several Paris Saint-Germain players traveled to Ibiza, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, for some vacation time, however, during this time away from Paris, three players have contracted the coronavirus.

The capital club released a statement confirming the positive test but didn’t release the individuals’ names. Nonetheless, the French media reported that the three players who tested positive for the virus are Leandro Paredes, Ángel Di María, and Neymar Jr.

RMC Sport football analyst Jérôme Rothen was on Top of the Footwhere he was critical of the players for not following protocols while on vacation.

“You can catch the virus. There is no problem. It is the fault of bad luck. It happens everywhere. You give them seven days of vacation that they go in the sun, it seems logical to me, but you have to be really careful. You have homework. You have to be even more careful,” Rothen said.

“Whether you go to Ibiza, no problem, you can, but we must reduce the number of people who come to the place. There is less risk. I put myself in the place of the Parisian leaders today. You get your players back after seven days off. You have three who will not come to training. Some could have avoided this kind of thing. The protocol must skip all cases. The matches must be played.”
