Neymar Jr. made a surprise appearance on social media to present Richarlison, his Brazil National Team teammate, with the Everton Player of the Season award for the 2019-20 campaign.
Richarlison joined the Toffees from Watford in 2018-19, the 23-year-old scored 15 goals in 41 appearances on the pitch last season and has always expressed his admiration for Neymar, with whom he plays with internationally. Hence, the leading figure from Paris Saint-Germain made a special appearance to present him with the grand prize.
“Hello Richarlison, I am very happy for you; congratulations on your season. Here is your award for Everton Player of the Season. Congratulations on this achievement, I know you are the first Brazilian (to win this award),” Neymar mentioned in a video posted on Everton FC’s official Twitter account.
“I am very happy for you. I hope you continue scoring goals, helping your club, your teammates, and know that I always wish you the best. All the best, congratulations, here is your trophy. It is my great pleasure to give it to you.”
