Sunday’s Le Classique between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille continued to be the point of discussion around French football circles. In his press conference, Olympique Lyonnais’ manager Rudi Garcia didn’t discuss the match but did talk about the players on the pitch.
Garcia mentioned Leandro Paredes, who he had during his time with AS Roma, but one player he elaborated on was Alessandro Florenzi.
“I had a lot of players that I knew well on the pitch yesterday. I think especially of Leandro Paredes and Alessandro Florenzi, who I had in Rome. I think he made an excellent start in the French championship,” Garcia said. “But I am not surprised because he is an excellent player. For the rest, I have absolutely nothing to say about yesterday’s game.”
The 29-year-old made his PSG debut against Marseille and, for the most part, left a positive impression, but might not be eligible to play against FC Metz.
