Video: Leonardo on PSG’s Quiet Transfer Window

With one month left in the summer transfer window, plenty of Paris Saint-Germain supporters show frustration over the squad’s lack of reinforcements. There’s plenty of rumors linking the capital club to players, but nothing has materialized.

However, L’Equipe recently reported that Les Parisiens need to sell between €60 and €70 million before making any purchases in the transfer market. In his appearance on Canal Football Club, Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, confirmed that they want to sell some players before making any purchases.

“With the pandemic, all clubs are forced to sell to buy. There is also a financial fair play which forbids you to put in more money, more money. PSG are living the same situation,” Leonardo said. “PSG will also have to sell, but it will not be easy. You have to think about being creative. The idea is to have recruits. We have priority positions. We still have a month. Mbappé’s message? Kylian says that because he knows we have the same idea.”
