A few days ago, a report surfaced that if Paris Saint-Germain is unable to sign Kylian Mbappé to a contract extension, Real Madrid CF and Liverpool FC would be circling the 21-year-old to lure him to either England or Spain.
France Football’s Dave Appadoo was on L’Équipe d’Estelle, where he approved a potential move to either Real Madrid or Liverpool is an excellent thing for Mbappé. The French journalist adds that the PSG forward needs to get out of his comfort zone and seek a better league to continue his growth.
“Mbappé should leave PSG especially because of Ligue 1. The Ligue 1 is not only too weak to PSG, but also for the player he is. When I see him playing against OGC Nice, I have the impression of seeing him playing against kids. To have set the bar at this level, it is to his credit. But now, if he wants to progress and titillate the best, he must face what is done best, with much higher championships,” Appadoo said.
“At one point, when you win with so much margin, it’s not easy to progress. And the thing is, there is still plenty of room for improvement. There, he is in a comfort zone and he must get out of it in order to progress.”
