Report: Two PSG Players Have Contracted Coronavirus

After Paris Saint-Germain’s 2019-20 season came to an end after their loss in the UEFA Champions League final against FC Bayern Munich, plenty of players went on vacation to relax before preparing for the 2020-21 campaign.

Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María took their families to Ibiza, a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s while on vacation that the two Argentina internationals contracted the coronavirus, according to L’Equipe

The problem doesn’t stop with these two players as they weren’t the only players to travel to this destination. Mauro Icardi, Ander Herrera, Keylor Navas, and Neymar Jr. were vacationing there, which is why the French media outlet is reporting that Icardi is suspected of contracting the virus.

Ligue 1 has already rescheduled matches due to squads testing positive for the virus, so it will be interesting to see how many of these players that traveled to Ibiza may have become infected.

PSG will begin their season next week with two matches. On the 10th, they’re on the road at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis against RC Lens. Then on the 13th, they welcome Olympique de Marseille to the Parc des Prince for the latest installment of Le Classique
