Paris Saint-Germain has decided to allow up to 1,000 spectators for its key Ligue 1 home contest against Angers later this week, according to a report from France Bleu.
PSG had given consideration to playing its upcoming home fixtures behind closed doors due to a new recent mandate that dropped the large event spectator limit from 5,000 to 1,000. This has all been due to the recent rise in coronavirus cases in select regions of France.
However, PSG has decided to change course and now allow a maximum of 1,000 spectators into the Parc des Princes for its upcoming match against Angers. The report mentions that PSG will not put up a select amount of tickets for sale but will rather give them away to sponsors and those connected to the club.
It remains to be seen whether PSG will keep this 1,000 spectator gauge for its home fixtures following its clash with Angers.
