Report: PSG To Meet in Paris With Representatives of Chelsea Midfielder

After a report stated that Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea FC were nearing an agreement on a loan deal for the midfielder Tiémoué Bakayoko, Foot Mercato reports that the 26-year-old will be meeting with the capital club in Paris this week.

The French media outlet states that this meeting is to define the possible arrival of the Parisian born player. It’s vital for PSG sporting director, Leonardo, to close this deal with less than a week until the summer transfer window closes if he has other targets that he’d like to tackle.

As many already know, Leonardo is keen on adding a midfielder with size considering Leandro Paredes is the tallest at that position at 5’11”. Nonetheless, Bakayoko has spent the last four seasons trying to rediscover his 2016-17 form that led to his transfer to Chelsea.

Maybe playing in his hometown of Paris can rekindle to find his form. Plenty of supporters are skeptical of this move, especially if this is the club’s significant summer acquisition.
