Report: PSG Set to Face Competition from Bayern Munich for Arsenal Right-Back

Paris Saint-Germain remains in the hunt for a right-back and has several targets in mind, including one Premier League talent. But Les Parisiens will be facing competition for its transfer target from one powerhouse European side.

FC Bayern Munich has joined Paris Saint-Germain in keeping tabs on current Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin, according to the English-based outlet Football London. Bayern views Bellerin as an option for depth considering that its backup right-back from last season, Alvaro Odriozola, has now returned to his parent club Real Madrid following his loan stint with the reigning Champions League winners. Bayern also has Joshua Kimmich as an option to play the right-back role but the club prefers to keep him in the midfield.

The report also mentions that PSG and Juventus are also interested in signing Bellerin. PSG was linked with the Spanish talent last week. According to a report from RMC Sport, Bellerin was offered to PSG as the talent is deemed a likely candidate to leave Arsenal. PSG has pushed ahead to acquire Bellerin as it has submitted an offer of £25m, according to a report from the English-based outlet The Guardian.

With the current transfer window set to close in early October, PSG will likely keep an eye on Bellerin as it looks for a right-back to help fill the void left from former starter and current Borussia Dortmund talent Thomas Meunier.
