Report: PSG Proposed a Swap Deal to Juventus Involving Draxler and De Sciglio

Paris Saint-Germain recently contacted Juventus to propose a swap deal involving midfielder Julian Draxler and defender Mattia De Sciglio, according to a report from CalcioMercato.it (via Le10Sport).

PSG is now seeking a left-back to replace Juan Bernat, who recently suffered an ACL injury. Les Parisiens turned its attention to Juventus’ De Sciglio as a possible replacement, and the club decided to offer the Italian side Draxler in a straightforward player-for-player swap deal. The report mentions that the reigning Serie A champions would like to add a midfielder over the current transfer window. However, Juventus does not view Draxler as a priority for the club.

The report concludes by mentioning that while Juventus is open to offloading De Sciglio, the club would much prefer a transfer deal instead.

PSG has been seeking to find a suitor for Draxler, so this deal would have checked off two of the club’s priorities in the ongoing transfer window.

It is currently unclear whether PSG has plans to give in to Juventus’ demands of a transfer deal for De Sciglio, who currently has two more years left on his contract.
