Report: PSG Is Pulling the Plug on Their Pursuit of Tottenham Midfielder

Before their Europa League qualifying match against KF Shkëndija, Tottenham Hotspur FC manager José Mourinho spoke with the media. The Portuguese manager stated that he’s convinced that midfielder Dele Alli would remain in North London, and it seems he’s right.

According to The TelegraphParis Saint-Germain is pulling out in pursuit of the 24-year-old. Alli would’ve come to the capital club on a season-long loan, but Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, made it clear that his preference is to keep the England international and have him fight for a spot in the starting 11.

The English media outlet reports that financial terms couldn’t be agreed to, explaining why Les Parisiens decided to look elsewhere. Nonetheless, Alli was reportedly eager at the idea of potentially heading to Paris. There’s no doubt that the midfielder envisioned himself playing alongside Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé.

Alas, those will only be thoughts in Alli’s mind as he’s likely to remain with Spurs.
