Report: PSG Is Angry With Their Players Contracting Coronavirus

While finishing the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League season in Lisbon, Portugal, Paris Saint-Germain was in a bubble and enduring frequent testing for coronavirus to make sure there were no positive cases.

Now that the capital club squad is out of that environment, the responsibility falls back on the players to follow proper protocols to make sure they don’t contract the virus, mostly since a good portion of the team went on vacation.

However, it seems as though something has gone wrong with two players contracting the virus. As a result, there’s anger within the club, leading to some friction between the sport management and coaching staff as to who’s at fault for advising the players, according to Le Parisien

The French media outlet reports that management didn’t like the departure of players traveling to Ibiza for vacation, blaming the coaching staff. Perhaps they didn’t feel they advised the players to discourage them from going on vacation.

However, the coaching staff blames management since they weren’t in favor of postponing their match against RC Lens until September 10th. With the postponement it provided a window for the players to go on vacation.

We’ll see who’s available next week as PSG will have two matches in a span of four days.
