Report: PSG in Negotiations With Kalimuendo for a Contract Extension Deal

Paris Saint-Germain is aiming to prolong the stay of one of its prospects. The club is seeking to come to terms on a contract extension deal with current prospect Arnaud Kalimuendo, according to a report from RMC Sport.

The report mentions that PSG does not want to offload Kalimuendo on a permanent transfer deal over the current transfer window. Instead, PSG wants to extend his deal, which is currently set to expire in two seasons. The two sides are currently in negotiations for a contract extension deal, although it is not clear as to whether an agreement could come before the transfer window closes next week.

If PSG is able to extend Kalimuendo’s deal, the club aims to send him off on a season-long loan as it did with goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. Kalimuendo is not slated to receive much playing time off the bench this season, so the club prefers that he earns pivotal time on the pitch elsewhere. The report concludes by mentioning that several French and other European teams are interested in taking the prospect Kalimuendo for a season-long loan.

The two sides sure hope to come to an agreement soon on an extension followed by a loan move.
